Declaring a Triggered Action: Sometimes you want to act based on specific conditions rather than immediately.  Triggered Actions are declared in the Slow phase.  State a specific observable trigger ("When someone comes through that door")  State your response (must be a single action you could normally take)  You act immediately when triggered, interrupting the normal order Example: "I ready my bow and shoot the first goblin that breaks cover" or "When the ogre charges, I cast Lightning Bolt" If your triggered action doesn't activate this round, you may maintain it into the next round without rolling initiative. You remain frozen in readiness until either the trigger occurs or you choose to abandon the stance and rejoin normal initiative. Limitations to Triggered Actions: If you dodge or parry, it cancels the held action  NPCs and intelligent monsters can use triggered actions too
