Action Usage: Incoming damage is reduced by your armor's Armor Rating. If reduced to 0 or less, you don't take any damage.  Clothes: AR 0 (no help!)  Leather: AR 1  Chain Shirt: AR 3  Scale Mail: AR 5  Plate Mail: AR 7 (-2 to Dodge)  Small Shield: +1 AR (stacks with armor) and +1 Parry skill  Large Shield: +2 AR (stacks with armor) and +2 Parry skill. But 2 slots!  Helmet: +1 AR (+2 vs headshots) When an NPC or Monster hits you, if you haven’t already acted, you can use your action to defend.  This Dodge/Parry is a reaction that uses your turn! If you defend, you can't attack!  If you’ve already attacked, moved, or cast a spell, you can’t Parry/Dodge. Dodge: Subtract the attacker’s Hit Dice (HD) from your Dodge (DEX) skill, and roll against the modified number.  Win = Not hit. Lose = You’re hit.  Uses your action for the round. Example: A 1 Hit Dice Bandit attacks and rolls 11 (under their Melee 14) for 11 damage. You declare dodge and roll your Dodge skill (16), minus the Bandit’s HD (16-1=15): You roll 8: Success! You dodge!  You roll 15: Failure. You're hit! Parry: Must have weapon/shield wielded and ready  Subtract the attacker’s Hit Dice (HD) from your Parry (STR) skill, and roll against the modified number.  Win = Not hit.  Lose = You’re hit.
